As you know form last week’s newsletter, at 6am on 25th September I set off on a 100k (62 miles) walk along the South Downs in aid of Oxfam and the Gurkha Welfare Trust. I'm pleased to say that I completed the challenge along with two teammates and our support crews in 27 hours (thankfully within the 30 hour limit).
It was both a beautiful and brutal experience, but well worth the sense of achievement I felt, and all for worthy causes. Many times I had to use my growth mindset, resilience and determination to carry on, especially during the night hours! But I did it and I hope my experience will demonstrate the power of a growth mindset to our children– we can achieve what we put our mind to.
Thank you to those who kindly sponsored me or gave me encouragement– this was much appreciated and spurred me on.
