Year 5 had a fantastic day at Belfairs Woods on Monday 16th May. The day was based around the scenario of survival in the wilderness. The children learned how to make a shelter; how to make our own purified water using a solar still; whittling willow to make eating implements; how to make fire and how to leave and follow a trail. The children were all extremely well-behaved and had great fun, whilst learning some important life skills. Thank you to Mrs Jeans for organising such an excellent experience for the group.
